OCEAN with David Attenborough, May 8, 2025
After seven decades of filming every aspect of the natural world, Sir David Attenborough delivers his greatest message of hope in the spectacular new film, OCEAN with David Attenborough, a Global Cinema Event launching on 8 May, which also coincides with Attenborough’s 99th birthday. In response to the ocean issues highlighted in the film, Revive Our Ocean—which helped fund the film—is turning inspiration into action.
Ocean Rise and Coastal Resilience Coalition Summit, June 7, 2025
Organized by the City of Nice and the Ocean Climate Platform, the Ocean Rise and Coastal Resilience Coalition summit will bring together city leaders and coastal officials, including island mayors facing rising sea levels. Revive Our Ocean will showcase a short film highlighting mayors who have established successful marine protected areas, urging others to protect local waters for climate resilience and economic growth.
Revive Our Ocean at Monaco’s Blue Economy Finance Forum, June 7-8, 2025
The ocean’s socio-economic and geopolitical importance is rapidly increasing. An estimated $175 billion annually is needed to make the maritime economy sustainable and inclusive, requiring stronger collaboration between the private sector, governments, and civil society. The Blue Economy and Finance Forum (BEFF) will highlight key actors driving this transformation. OCEAN with David Attenborough will be screened at the Grimaldi Forum on June 7.
Revive Our Ocean at UN Ocean Conference (UNOC), June 9-12, 2025
From participating in multiple panels and premiering short films to hosting a side event in the ‘Blue Zone,’ Revive Our Ocean joins organizations, stakeholders, and leaders from around the world at the 2025 UN Ocean Conference. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook as we, alongside our partners, inspire action toward the accelerated implementation of the 30×30 target.
