Revive Our Ocean Arrives in Portugal to Support Coastal Communities

The Conference held in Palma, Mallorca at the Rívoli Aficine Cinema featured a screening of Ocean with David Attenborough and emphasized the opportunity for the Balearic Islands to expand and scale effective marine protection to benefit fishing, tourism, and the local communities who depend on them.

From the waters of Greece to global convenings and community screenings of Ocean with David Attenborough, these past months have marked an exciting first chapter for Revive Our Ocean. Our mission, to scale effective coastal, community-driven protection — and to design no-take coastal marine protected areas (MPAs) as regenerative businesses — is off to a strong start.
